My Story

DCU and Barretstown came together in 2019 to form a charity partnership, DCU is the first Irish university to engage in a charity partnership of this type, the impetus having come from the ‘Our DCU’ initiative. 

One of our objectives is to raise much-needed funds for Barretstown who provide wonderful camps for children and families living with serious illness. Due to Covid-19 our opportunities to engage in fundraising events have been limited.

I am a member of the DCU team who has accepted the challenge to hike 30km through the Dublin Mountains, we need your support. DCU is a strong community, we are asking everyone connected to DCU to come together and support our team through sponsorship. We have set a tough target of €10,000 but we believe with DCU behind us we can achieve it.
