DCU and Barretstown came together in 2019 to form a charity partnership, DCU is the first Irish university to engage in a charity partnership of this type, the impetus having come from the ‘Our DCU’ initiative. It is envisioned that the partnership will continue to develop and grow in the coming years. 

One of our objectives is to raise much-needed funds for Barretstown who provide wonderful camps for children and families living with serious illness. Due to Covid-19 our opportunities to engage in fundraising events have been limited. 

We have put forward a strong team from DCU who have accepted the challenge to hike 30km through the Dublin Mountains, they need your support. DCU is a strong community, we are asking everyone connected to DCU to come together and support our team through sponsorship. We have set a tough target of €10,000 but we believe with DCU behind us we can achieve it.
